Firstly, do these spirits you mention appear violent in any way? The most important thing is safety; if the beings persist or attempt to harm you, this issue is beyond my help, and you should seek a medium of some sort, or perhaps an exorcist.

The next question is, have you tried offering them anything? Many times in supernatural fiction, the poltergeist requires something from the one it haunts, and only then can its soul lay to rest. You say these spirits tell you things, such as “buy Mr. Farrows…” Have you ever considered fulfilling its wishes? A quick bit of research may prove to help your case.
